I hope to provide this community with a great dental service, and a great dentist, and a great dental practice. We're not motivated to be the cheapest office out there; I've never made that my goal, but I've made it my goal to be the best dentist out there and the best dentist in this community and so, we do provide, or attempt to provide, our patients with the best care and painless dentistry, the best care possible.
At Callow Family Dentistry, we care about our patients, and we also care about our larger community of Plymouth, MI. Dr. Doug Callow is a Michigan native who grew up in Allen Park and attended the University of Michigan for both his undergraduate degree and dental school. He feels strongly about serving the local community because it’s been his longtime home.
Dr. Callow especially enjoys giving back to the community through his activities with youngsters. He coaches youth soccer teams, and he offers lessons on the importance of oral hygiene at area schools and daycare centers.
In addition, he has provided free dental services to underserved populations through Donated Dental Services and the Michigan Dental Association.
Doctor Douglas Callow on giving back to the community
One of the ways we give back to our community is by participating with Dental Lifeline or what was previously called Donated Dental Services. Donated Dental Services is a program that was, I believe, sponsored by both the American Dental Association and the Michigan Dental Association, and it provides patients who are facing difficulties, either through health disability, financial problems, it provides those patients with dentistry at no cost to them.
And what we do is we receive patients who are referred to us by the Donated Dental Services or Dental Lifeline and we provide them with whatever is needed to bring their mouth back to the state of optimum health.
