Patients who are unhappy with their smile oftentimes will benefit from porcelain veneers or laminate veneers. Veneers are oftentimes referred to as instant orthodontics. They can be used to correct problems that have to do with crooked teeth, misshapen teeth, broken teeth, discolored teeth. Veneers are a very thin porcelain covering that fits over the front surface of the tooth. Usually, they cover any part of the tooth that can be seen, and once again, they can be used to change the appearance of the tooth, or all the teeth together as a block. They can be used to repair one tooth; they can be used to repair many teeth.
The process is, generally, fairly easy. It's two visits: the first visit to prepare the teeth and take impressions, and the second visit, two weeks later, we have a whole new smile for the patient and it's amazing, the change that we can make in the way patients' teeth look.
Veneers are an excellent option to preserve teeth structure and to repair all kinds of different cosmetic defects in the teeth.

Dental Veneers Offer Lots of Benefits
We offer two different options: porcelain veneers or e.max veneers, which are made of a special type of ceramic. Both types of veneers offer many other benefits in addition to their versatility. They include:
- Natural appearance. Both materials have a translucent quality that resembles natural tooth enamel.
- Durable. With proper care, dental veneers should last at least a decade.
- Speedy treatment. Depending on which type of veneer you choose, you can usually get them in just two trips to our Plymouth, MI dentist office.
- Conservative. We usually only remove a small amount of enamel from your tooth’s surface to prepare it for a veneer.
- No special care needed. You simply brush and floss your teeth as usual after receiving your dental veneers. They are stain resistant.
